About Chris Roode

Blending electronics with acoustics allows Chris Roode the tools necessary to create his ephemeral soundscape. He combines live performance, improvisation, sequencing, and post-minimalism to take his listeners from their lives to an alternate universe where everything seems a little more blissful.

He developed his fast paced relaxed music from a blend of a country upbringing with adult life in the big city. He combines lush nine chords with the rhythm of Brooklyn and the Lower East Side.

Chris Roode has performed all over the United States with various groups. Specifically he has played in Boston, New York City, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, DC, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Santa Barbara. He has performed with the internationally renowned Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corp. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
